My name is Lindsay Jenkins, but I'm known to my friends and clients as L.J. I am a culture consultant, dramaturg, producer and educator based in Southern California. I have extensive experience working one-on-one with artists across mediums on the development of new work. As a culture consultant and researcher, I specialize in Black Performance Heritage, connecting past performances to contemporary experiences. As a dramaturg, I believe it is critical to listen to the artist in order to understand and execute their vision. As a producer, I am invested in the future of Black theatre and Black art in Los Angeles and beyond.

    I believe in the power of storytelling to both name and claim a history, while simultaneously contributing to culture. My strong theatre background has served me well as I expand into podcasts, film and television. As an educator, I love facilitating conversations with students of all ages.
